Willy Albert Stach, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on July 14, 2017. He was 79 years old. Born on August 4, 1937, in Alexandrow, Poland, he was the son of the late Albert and Lidia Stach of Germany. He flew in the German Air Force and trained at Laredo Air Force Base where he met and married his beloved wife, Maria Stach - he was the love of her life. Willy led an exciting life and traveled the world - after flying an F-84 in the German Air Force, he later was a professional corporate pilot flying Lear, Gulfstream, Challenger, and Falcon jets. Later, he would train pilots at Flight Safety International of Teterboro, NJ and Dallas, TX. He flew for Hollywood stars, politicians, and even a dictator - President Mobutu Sese Seko of Zaire. He instilled in his family a great love for travel, exploration and challenged them to always be the best at whatever they may pursue. He is survived by his wife Maria, and 3 children: Max, and his wife Sara and son Jacob; Melinda; and Bonnie and her fiance, Ken. A wake will be held on July 28, 2017, from 5 PM to 8 PM, at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950. A funeral ceremony will follow on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 10:30 AM. He will be buried at Redeemer Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimers Association at www.alz.org.
