Thomas J Quinn

Beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather Thomas Quinn passed away on December 27, 2019 at the age of 83. Tommy lost his wife Teresa on November 11 of this year and felt lost without her. Tommy was born and raised in Ireland. He started a family and moved to America for a better life and settled in the Bronx where he raised his 4 children. As his children grew and started their own families, he moved to Maryland with Teresa where they started a new life. After 30 years in Maryland they decided to move back to New York to be closer to family. They originally settled in Pearl River. In the spring of 2019 they moved to Monroe, where they both lived out their final days. Thomas is survived by his 4 children Patrick and his wife Sheila, Margaret and her husband Jim, Noeleen and her husband George, and Thomas, 14 grandchildren, & 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his 8 month old great granddaughter Raegan Quinn McCutchan. Thomas was a big Islanders fan, enjoyed American Football but loved Gaelic Football. Tommy had a great sense of humor and loved a great practical joke, April 1st may have been his favorite day! He had a contagious laugh, loved Irish music, and could hold his own on the dance floor. He was a hardworking honest and proud to be Irish, he taught his children to be the same. His memory will live on in his stories and sayings. His heart never left Ireland. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Rest in peace Da. You are home now. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019, during the hours of 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019, 11:30 am at Sacred Heart R.C. Church located at 26 Still Road, Monroe, New York 10950.
