Thomas F. Ladka Monroe, New York Dad, no words can describe the impact you've had on everyone's lives you ever met. To us you were a hero, a teacher and a loving father. But most importantly you've shaped us into the men we are today. You were a wise, supportive and loving father and grandfather. You were there for everyone, when we needed you. Mom has been waiting for you at Heaven's doors and now you are "Together Forever". Thomas was called by our Lord Jesus to eternal paradise on January 20, 2018. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He was the pillar of the family. He was a devoted father, beloved brother, cherished grandfather and loving uncle. Family meant the world to him. Born on October 10, 1938 to Thomas and Elizabeth Ladka. Thomas is survived by his four sons, Michael and his wife Kimberly of Waxhaw, NC, Russell and his wife Joann of Walden, NY, Thomas and his wife Terri of Marshfield MA, Matthew and his wife Charlotte of Monroe, NY, and the "5th son" Jay Klahn and his wife Nancy of Harriman, NY, and his brother Charles Ladka and Family of Monroe, NY and Pre-Deceased by his wife Elaine on April 3, 2013 and his sister Kordella. His cherished grandchildren Matthew, Ashley, Michael Jr., Thomas III, Kellsey, Troy, Timmy, Craig, Christopher, Kelly Elaine, Katelin, Matthew, Thomas, Amber, Kyle, Cole, Meagan, Nicole and Madison along with his sister in-law Marilyn Callan, and nieces Theresa Petrakis and Kathleen Witte, and their families. He served in The United States Navy as a Quartermaster on USS Hazelwood, and was on the Naval Color Guard for the President in Washington D.C. He was a 33-year employee of the New York City Fire Department who worked his way up the ranks to retire as a Captain. He was also Past Grand Knight, of the Knights of Columbus Council 2079, and a Charter Member 4th Degree Knight of the John Cardinal O'Connor Assembly 2640, in Monroe New York. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 during the hours of 2:00 to 5:00 PM & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018, at 11:00 AM at St. Anastasia R.C. Church, located at 21 North Main Street, Harriman, New York 10926. Fr. Michael Keane, will be Officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anastasia R.C. Church Cemetery, Harriman, New York. Memorial contributions in Thomas F.
