Susan Tan Rendano entered into rest on March 31, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was 70 years of age. Susan was born September 20, 1945 in the Philippines on the island of Laoang, to the late Jacinto Tan and Felisa Poso Tan. Susan was a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas School of Business in Manila. A long time resident of Monroe, New York, Susan left her career behind to raise her children. After which she worked as a volunteer and then an employee of the Boy Scouts of America, Hudson Valley Council. Prior to her retirement on October 31, 2015 she was employed by Macys in Middletown, New York. She loved to cook and entertain and will be remembered by all for her smile, her warmth and her willingness to help others. She was one of six siblings in a close knit family, predeceased by her sister, Pauline Tan and brother, Samuel Tan. Susan is survived by Ron Rendano, her husband of 35 years; their daughter Jennifer Rendano and son Jeff Rendano. Susan is also survived by her siblings, Nestor Tan and his wife Lourdes of Queens, New York; Dr. Roland Tan and his wife Gwynne of Lady Lake, Florida; Myrna Trinidad of the Philippines; and more than 35 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 between the hours of 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc. located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11 AM at Sacred Heart R.C. Church located at 26 Still Road, Monroe, New York 10950. Cremation will follow at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, New York.
