Steven Ringe, a retired Sergeant for the City of New York Police Department for 20 years and a 28-year resident of Monroe, New York, passed away peacefully at his home on February 8, 2024, at the age of 64. His loving family surrounded him at the time of his passing due to an illness related to the September 11 attacks.
He was 64 years of age.
The son of the late Marlene Ringe, he was born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 31, 1959.
He was a member of Jason Conklin Memorial Lodge 957 of the Fraternal Order of Police in Monroe, N.Y., and a New York City PBA member.
He was a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him. Steven was just an all-around fantastic man.
Steven is survived by his wife, Josephine Ringe; their children, Peter and his wife, Marzana Ringe of Highland Mills, N.Y., Amanda Ringe, and Gina Ringe, both of Monroe, N.Y. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Aria Rose and Noah Joseph, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York.
The New York City Police Department Ceremonial Unit will conduct services at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, N.J.
