Stephanie Elaine Wander

Stephanie Elaine Wander of Blooming Grove, NY, died on October 25, 2024, at the age of 57.

She was born on January 31, 1967, in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Gary and Debb Reid.

Stephanie worked as a controller for Mercedez Benz.

Stephanie was the most caring, selfless person who was loved by everyone she met. Her smile lit up a room, and she lived to be with her family. Whether it was spending endless hours poolside cheering on her kids, caring for her countless number of animals, excelling in her professional career, or just taking in life's simple pleasures with those who meant the most to her, Stephanie poured her heart and soul into everything she was passionate about. She was blessed with one of life's greatest gifts the day her first grandchild was born. She embraced being "Nanny" with an even deeper sense of love. Stephanie's perfect day was spent alongside the love of her life, taking in nature's beauty from the front porch of their dream home. Stephanie was a two-time Breast Cancer survivor, and while she may have ultimately lost her battle after a valiant fight, her legacy lives on through the love she ingrained in all of us.

Stephanie is survived by her husband, Alex Wander of Blooming Grove, NY; her daughters Paige  Raccioppi of Blooming Grove, NY, Heather Wander of Blacksburg, VA, Victoria Wander of Sugar Loaf, NY; her son, Jake Raccioppi of West Palm Beach, FL and her grandchild, Londyn Graves. She is also survived by her siblings, Kathryn Reid, Beth Giordano (Al Giordano), Tracy Mascarelli (Tommy Mascarelli); her nephews Taylor, Steven, Travis, Tommy, Walker, Gary, Christian, and Corey; and her nieces Kerry and Chrissy. Stephanie is predeceased by her nephews Reid and Nicholas.

A Life Celebration will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10918.

In lieu of flowers, Stephanie's wish was for donations to be made in her memory to Ravensbeard Wildlife Center in Saugerties, NY, or the wildlife charity of your choice.  

The family entrusted Stephanie's care to the Flynn family and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff.
