Roy D Brewer

Roy Douglas Brewer entered into eternal rest on March 31, 2021 at the age of 86 in Cornwall, NY. Roy dearly loved his family & friends. He enjoyed playing poker and cards, doing crossword puzzles, and watching football especially the University of Texas Longhorns. He was very involved in the rodeo community in his early years. Roy was a champion for children's hospitals and loved to donate to them. Roy was very proud of his service in the United States Air Force. He was actively involved in many service groups such as a lifetime member of The American Legion, Masonic Lodge and the Disabled American Vets. Roy was born on April 20, 1934 in Hall County, Texas, to Crayton & Myrtle Brewer. He was the youngest of 8 children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Crayton Brewer & Myrtle Neeley Brewer, and Brothers Harold Brewer, Jake (J.P.) Brewer, Jimmie Lee Brewer, Dick Wilson Brewer, along with sisters Ruth Jones and Winona Hefley, and his granddaughter, Dawn Hale. Roy is survived by his sister Ray Dell Nabors; his seven children, Lynn Fern and husband Kacey and their children, Cindy Benson and husband Jim and their children, Sandra Lee and her children, Donna Morgan and husband Larry and their children, Theresa Alexander and husband Robert and their children, Terry Overton and wife Lynn and their children, Wesley Brewer and wife Stephanie and their children. Roy has 22 grandchildren and numerous great & great-great grandchildren and nieces, nephews including great & great-great that he loved & adored. Family & friends will gather on the evening of Monday, April 5, 2021 to have a celebration of life followed by a private family viewing, and online viewing held at Flynn Funeral and Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc. located at 130 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950 on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
