Ronald Schudde

June 8, 1941 — January 29, 2019

Ronald B. Schudde, Sr., of Monroe, NY a retired New York Police Department Detective for 30 years and a longtime resident of the area, died unexpectedly on January 29, 2019, at Orange Regional Medical Center, in Wallkill, NY. He was 77 years of age. The son of the late Francis and Wilhelmina Schudde he was born in Queens, New York in 1941. Ron was a member of the American Legion Post 488, the Detectives Endowment Association, the Orange County Shields, St. Anastasia R.C. Church, and FOP Jason Conklin Memorial Lodge 957 (Fraternal Order of Police). He is survived by his wife Mary Jane Schudde at home and his children, a son Ronald and his wife Patricia Schudde of Monroe, NY and a daughter Susan Schudde Padgett also of Monroe, NY and his grandchildren Ian, Kaitlin, Troy, AJ, Samantha, Luke, and Matthew. His brother Frank and his wife Donna of Quakertown, PA also survive Ron. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews Eric and Edward Shepherd, Allison Hnat and Robin Phillips. Ron was predeceased by his first wife Dian E. Schudde and his parents Francis and Wilhelmina. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950, during the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at St. Anastasia Parish Church located at 21 North Main Street, Harriman, NY 10926 at 10:00 AM, with Fr. Michael Keane officiating. Burial with Military Honors and Presentations by the Police Department of City of New York will follow at St. Anastasia Parish Cemetery, Harriman, New York Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas F.
