Roland Stevenson, a master in the art of woodworking and finishing, bid farewell to this world on April 26, 2024, in the nurturing embrace of his daughter Kathleen's residence. Born on October 8, 1960, in the vibrant city of Brooklyn, N.Y., Roland's journey was one marked by dedication and craftsmanship.
Throughout his professional career in the Construction Field, Roland garnered respect and admiration for his skills and work ethic. His hands told stories through the beautifully crafted woodwork he created, leaving a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who had the pleasure of witnessing his talent.
As per Roland's wishes, there will be no public services to commemorate his life. Instead, a private gathering of family and close friends will convene at Kathleen's house on Saturday, May 4, 2024. It will be a time of shared memories and heartfelt tributes as loved ones come together to honor the life of a remarkable man.
The final resting place for Roland's cremains will be the serene grounds of Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, N.Y., where he will find peace amongst fellow heroes. The act of cremation will be conducted with care and reverence by Brendan and Thomas Flynn at Oxford Hills Crematory in Chester, N.Y.
In this time of sorrow and remembrance, the Stevenson family has placed their trust in the compassionate hands of the Flynn Family and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff. Their support ensures that Roland's journey into eternity is met with dignity and grace.
Roland Stevenson leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship, love, and dedication that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Though he may have departed this world, his memory will live on in the hearts of his surviving family members and friends, a testament to a life well-lived.
