Robert Paul Kressler, a lifelong resident of Sugar Loaf, New York, passed away at St. Anthony’s Hospital on February 26, 2025, at the age of 80.
He was born on August 5, 1944, in Jersey City, NJ, the son of the late Paul Kressler and Grace Brightenback.
Robert was a Senior Packaging Engineer for Pfizer in Pearl River until retirement.
He was a member of the Mid-Hudson Valley Corvette Association (MHVCA) and VFW—American Legion Post 488.
Bob, aka “Uncle Bob,” loved his family, friends, and his beloved dog, Jett. He also loved spending his free time with the Corvette Club.
Robert is the widow of Doreen Kressler.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Michele Brougham and her husband, James, of Mebane, NC, and Jo Ann Tursi and her husband, Steven. He also leaves behind his granddaughters, Megan Tursi and Lauren Tursi; his grandson, Drew Tursi; his great-granddaughter, Penelope; his sister, Carol Humbert of Warwick, NY; his step-brother, Hans Langert of West Milford, NJ; and his step-sister, Monica Graham of Oregon, along with many nieces and nephews.
Robert was predeceased by his daughter, Patty Kressler.
A LIFE CELEBRATION WILL BE HELD on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950.
Cremains will be interred at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924, with Military Honors in the spring. Once the date and time are confirmed, we will update our site with the information.
