Pierre L. Thomas

Dr. Pierre Louis Thomas M.D Monroe, New York Pierre Louis Thomas M.D was born in Haiti on June 21st, 1948. He lived in Haiti with his father Gregoir Thomas, his mother Carline William Thomas, brother Jean Gerrard Felix Thomas M.D and sister Myrtha Thomas Roth. At the age of 18 Doctor Thomas left Haiti to study medicine at the University of Bordeaux France. While in medical school he married his childhood sweetheart Norma Louis Thomas on August 16th, 1969. They went on to have three children; Gregory Serge Thomas, Philip Pierre Thomas and Takesha Michael Thomas Sainte-Rose. Doctor Thomas graduated from medical school and then completed his residency at Metropolitan hospital and a fellowship in Psychiatry at Westchester Medical Center. He then accepted a position as Psychiatrist at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health center. He later became Chief of Psychiatry. While working as Chief of Psychiatry he simultaneously held positions as a professor at the City College of New York as well as Cornell University. Doctor Thomas was a man of great integrity who had a tremendous work ethic and a passion for family. Doctor Thomas was a loving husband and enjoyed 45 years of marriage. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren Teran Jordan Branham, Khamri Pierre Thomas, Alain Michael Sainte-Rose and Khiya Carline Thomas. He fought a brave battle against cancer for five years with his wife by his side every step of the way. He has left behind an abundance of memories to cherish, honor and emulate. *The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 during the hours of 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM at St. Anastasia R.C. Church located at 21 North Main Street, Harriman, New York 10926. Cremation will follow at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc.
