Philip G. Squires of Monroe a retired Auto Mechanic and a 45 year resident of the area died peacefully May 7, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center, in the Town of Wallkill. Philip was 70 years of age. The son of the late Jack and Kathleen Squires he was born on September 3, 1941 in Shardlow, England. Phil loved life and loved to have a good time with family and friends. He enjoyed cooking for many outings and special events. He was always there when you needed him to end a hand. His favorite pass time was spent at the VFW Post 4888 in Harriman, New York, playing cribbage or on the gold course, but his all time passion has been cars the faster the better. His favorite NASCAR driver has always been the # 3 Dale Earnhardt. He was pre-deceased by his wife Susan Squires. Phil is survived by his life partner Linda Norton at home and his daughters Denise Sheehan and her husband John of Campbell Hall, NY and Tammi Gauthier and her husband Bryan of Arizona, and his son Nicholas DiNardo of Monroe, NY and Jessica and Victoria Pantalemon of Monroe, NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ashley, Austin, Alexandra and Cayde, he is also survived his had great granddaughter Noelle. He is also survived by his former wife Janice Squires of Monroe, New York. Visitation will be held today - Thursday, May 10, 2012 during the hours of 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Life Celebration will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 PM on Thursday evening. Cremation was held at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, New York 10918. Funeral arrangements and cremation services have been under the direction of Thomas F. Flynn and the staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950.
