Paul A. Thompson

Dr. Paul A. Thompson of Chester, NY, Pastor. For 23 years resident of the area, died April 6, at noon. He was 67. The son of the late David and Lydia Thompson, he was born May 6, 1953, in North East, PA. He began his walk with the Lord in 1972, a decision that would impact the rest of his life. He was a faithful pastor and teacher in many ministries. He served as pastor at Craigville Bible Church in Chester, NY for the past 23 years. Paul will always be remembered for his visual sermon illustrations, dry sense of humor, and deep love for his Savior, the Word, and the people around him. Survivors include his wife Debbie, children Rebecca, Joanna (and Jeremiah) Henderson, Naomi, Nathaniel (and Isabel), and Josiah (and Caitlin), grandchildren Esther, Noelle, Nehemiah, Rachel, and Simeon Henderson, sisters Anne (and Tom) Ellsworth, Joan Graham, Gail (and Jeff) Wilson, and many other extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday April 11, 2021, at 6:00 pm at Calvary Chapel Grace Fellowship, 549 NY-17, Tuxedo Park, NY 10987. See the Craigville Bible Church Facebook page for more details.
