Otto Ciany

Otto C. Ciany, beloved husband, father, grandfather, passed away in his home at the age of 84 on February 5, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Otto was born on November 1, 1936 (All Saints Day) to Charles and Lillian (Errico) Ciany at their home in the Bronx New York. Otto served as New York city firefighter for 28 years, we recall his bravery and commitment to keeping the community safe. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his time on the golf course and with his golf buddies aka (The Grasshoppers). Otto was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. There was nothing more he loved than spending time with his family and sharing stories and giving his lifelong advice. He always said place Christ first and everything else will take care of itself. Otto's faith in God and family was his guiding compass throughout his whole life. Otto was preceded in death by his brother Matthew and his two sisters Mildred and Florence. He is survived by his wife Felice and his four children Christopher, Gregory, Michelle, and Denise. His eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Krista, Joseph, Nicole, Antonio, Mia, Maximus, and Gabriella. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 A Visitation of family only will be held at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950 on Thursday, February 11, 2021 between the hours of 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Funeral Mass following at Sacred Heart Church located at 145 Randolph Ave, Clifton, NJ 07011 at 12:00PM( use Varettoni Place off Randolph Ave for parking in rear of church ) with burial to follow at Maryrest Cemetery 770 Darlington Ave, Mahwah, NJ 07430. All are welcome to attend the Requiem Mass and the Burial service, both or either.
