Orville Lee Ferguson, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at his residence in Blooming Grove, New York, his home of 24 years. He was 89 years of age. He was a 26 year Veteran of the United States Army, and retired as a First Sergeant. He began a career as a cameraman for Shea Stadium. The son of the late Bonner and Minnie Ferguson, he was born in the State of Tennessee. He was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, the American Legion Post 488, Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge, and the Chester Historical Society. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ferguson, at home and their son Christopher. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Paul G. Pizzolongo at home. His children Linda and her husband, James Howell, of Florida; Wayne of Kentucky; Lemuel of Ohio; his grandchildren Shawn of Florida; Laurel and her husband Nii-Nii; Linden; Casey and her husband Brent; great-grandchildren Andrew, Hannah, Linden Jr., Cadence, and Cali all of Kentucky also survive him. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lorraine and Tom McCarron, and Paula and Frank Minieri, of Highland Mills. He was a beloved uncle to Lauren and her husband Mark Carlino; Stephen and Michael McCarron; Frank Minieri Jr.; Samantha and Gabrielle Minieri of Highland Mills. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 during the hours of 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe, New York 10950. Burial will follow with full Military Honors, at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, New York 10924. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the "Wounded Warrior Fund" or, to the "St. Joseph's Indian School". For directions to our funeral home, Sacred Heart R.C.
