Minerva Rivera

Our beloved mother Minerva Rivera (Monin) was born in Manati, Puerto Rico and passed away peacefully on December 3, 2021 at the age of 85 in the town of Blooming Grove, New York with her family by her side.She will be dearly missed by her children: Joseph, Rene, Marisol, Joann, Jasmine and, Alexa. Minerva is also survived by her grandchildren Joseph, Cheris, Joshua, Joel, Krystal, Gabriela, Christina, Lesandra, Michael, Sabrina, Brittney, Branden, Justin, Baeli, Gabriel, Daniel, Samuel, Jennifer, John. As well as her great grandchildren Miguel, Isaia, Mariah, Javian, Jayden, Dallas, Julian, Judah, Levi, Jovani, Mila, Jacob, Josiah, Elijah, Eliyah, Baylor, & Benjamin. She is also survived by her great great grandchildren Miguel & Amalia.
Minerva is farther survived by her daughter-in-laws Mayra Rivera and Carmen Negron, her son-in-laws Guillermo, Ruben, Mark and Edwin, as well as numerous relatives and friendsShe was predeceased by her parents; Aurora and Marcos, siblings; Anita and Nelson; and son John.Minerva was a beautiful soul who loved her family and extended herself to the fullest to help anyone in need. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile, loving touch, love for nature, ability to bring laugher to everyones heart, whistling call to gather her children and her sweet tooth for lollipops.She was sociable, loved to cook, enjoyed flowers and plants, loved to have her beautiful nails polished, loved working with numbers, playing bingo, listening to music and her comical facial expressions. She will forever be in our hearts. We know that although she is absent from the body she is present with the Lord and that brings us peace and comfort.Special thanks to the wonderful team at Hospice of Orange & Sullivan County.A private family service will take place at Flynn Funeral Home located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950.
