Mildred J. Amann

Mildred J (formerly Poole) Amann, “Millie”, was born on December 13, 1934, and passed away on November 1, 2023. She worked as a Home Health Care Supervisor at Hunterdon Medical Center for many years. She was born and raised in Union, NJ. Millie lived in many places, including Pluckemin, Lebanon, Holland Twp, and Alpha. She retired to Point Pleasant, NJ. She loved watching the NY Giants and the NY Yankees. Millie reminded friends and family regularly that she was a Jersey Girl, born a Jersey Girl, and would die a Jersey Girl. She loved spending time with her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Donald R. Amann, her brothers, Richard Poole & Frederick Poole, and sisters, June Anderson & Winifred Lerch.

 She is survived by her children, Donald Amann Jr. and his wife Linda, of Alpha, NJ. Her son Lawrence Amann and wife Judy, of Colchester, CT.

Her daughter Patricia Smutek and husband Mark, of Springville, NY, and her son Steven Amann and wife Jennifer, of Phillipsburg, NJ.

Her five grandchildren are: Jill Foley, husband, Michael., Jennifer Smutek & her companion Dan Runyan, Mark Smutek Jr., Jonathan Smutek, wife Kristin, Donald III, wife Atheena.

Ten great-grandchildren: Michael, Mackenzie & Haley Foley, Daniel Runyan, Ella & Cora Smutek, Eliana, Peyton, Donald IV, & Austin Michael Amann.

A celebration of life will be planned for some time in the Spring of 2024, with details to follow.

Cremation Care is provided by Brendan and Thomas Flynn at Oxford Hills Crematory.

Funeral arrangements have been placed within the care of the Flynn Family and staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers.
