Michele Janet Palkoski

Michele Janet Palkoski, 77, entered into rest on Saturday, May, 16, 2020 at her home in Cape Coral, FL. She was a former resident of Chester, NY. Michele was born in Bronx, NY. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Clara Mecca. She married her husband Bob on September 8, 1962 at St. Brenden Church, Bronx, NY. Michele is survived by her oldest son, Robert and his wife Kim of Scotch Plains, NJ; daughters Christine Pearl and husband Rob of Milford, PA, and Luanne Palkoski Behrends and husband Eric of Goshen, NY. Michele was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Bob; her son John Palkoski and her sister Blanche Berte Illenberg. Her five grandchildren, who provided her with endless joy and pride, also survive her. Tyler & Tara Palkoski, Lauren Pearl, and Louie & Anthony Troiano. She is also survived by her sister, Claire Del Favero and husband Ronnie, along with cherished nieces and nephews, including Claire Marie Berte Niles, Michael Berte, Ronnie Del Favero and Jennifer Michalski. Michele was active in her retirement and was an involved participant as a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church and Council of Catholic Women. She was also a member of the Over Fifty Club and volunteered to support the organization, Feed My Starving Children - No Child Should Go Hungry, which partners with volunteers to pack and ship nutritious meals to kids in need. Michele had a group of incredibly supportive friends, especially Jean Triplett and Jackie Kutkze. She also enjoyed being part of a knitting group, water aerobics, and playing Bunko. A memorial mass took place on May 20, 2020 at St. Katharine Drexel, Cape Coral, FL. Due to Covid-19, a private burial at St. Columba Cemetery will take place at the family's discretion.
