Michael Mccann

Michael McCann died March 31st, 2024, at 5:05 A.M. He was seventy-two years old.

 He leaves behind his son Mathew, Mother Rose, Brother John, and Sister Jean.

 Michael was a very proud man. He enjoyed talking about his successful career as a communication engineer for AT&T.

He had that job from college until retirement. He was proud of his accomplishments, and they fulfilled and satisfied him greatly.

Michael's retirement at a young age allowed him to fully enjoy life. He took great pleasure in his surroundings in Upstate New York and had a positive outlook on life. His relationships with friends and family were always a priority for him. 

His family, especially his mother and son, held a special place in his heart. Michael and Mathew often engaged in lively discussions about sports, a shared passion.

Michael was an actual homebody who enjoyed keeping in touch with friends and family by phone. He was a selfless person who loved nothing more than doing something extra special for someone.

Many times, he would prepay someone’s dinner for a surprise when they went to pay. He enjoyed sending notes in the mail and always a beautiful message by phone.

Michael put others above himself and never expected anything in return. He loved people and was always kind to everyone around him.

Recently, while Michael was not faring well, he was still happy and grateful. He never looked back. He was always optimistic and upbeat about the future even at his hardest times.

I have always admired that quality. As far as I am concerned, my life has been better with him in it. I am blessed to have had him in my life, and he will always be cherished and remembered.

Brendan and Thomas Flynn provided cremation care at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc.

The family entrusted the care of Michael to the Flynn Family and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff. A Life Celebration is being planned and will be announced at a later date on our website.
