Matthew Donovan Herrity

Matthew Donovan Herrity, a Project Manager for FF & E Construction and Relocating Services, died as the result of a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Mamakating on February 7, 2022.
He was 46 years of age.
Matt was the son of Geraldine and the late Michael Herrity; he was born in Goshen, NY, on August 11, 1975.
Matthew was a member of Walton Engine & Hose of the Chester Fire Department and former President.
Family Statement: Matt was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, son in law and friend. He will be missed. He was kind, thoughtful and would do anything for those he loved.
Matt is survived by his wife Jennifer and son Anthony at home.
Matt is also survived by his Mom Geraldine Herrity and his siblings, his brother Michael and wife Desiree, his sisters Lyn Pugliese and her husband Peter, and Karen Herrity.
His nieces and nephews Ali and Nick Pugliese, Dimity Pierce, and Jocelyn DiMascio, and his brother in law Raymond A. DiMascio also survive Matt.
Matt is also survived by his inlaws Anthony & Patricia DiMascio.
Lastly, Matt is survived by his loving dog Samson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, during the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Columba R.C. Church located at 27 High Street, Chester, New York 10918.
Burial will follow at St. Columba R.C. Church Cemetery.
A repast will follow at the Walton Engine & Hose Fire House located at 81 Main Street, Chester, NY 10918, following the burial.
The family would appreciate memorial contributions in Matt's name to the Walton Engine & Hose, P.O. Box 455, Chester, N.Y. 10918.
