Marie Rita Salom

Marie Salom, of Chester, New York, a retired transport coordinator for Mid City Transit Company in Middletown, New York, and an 18 year resident of the area, died November 5, 2018, at her residence. She was 83 years of age. The daughter of the late Tomas and Marie Manca she was born in New York in 1935. Marie was the widow of Edward Kotak and Richard Salom. She is survived by her children: Thomas and his wife Maureen Kotak, Edward and his wife Sue Kotak, Joseph and his wife Eileen Kotak, Maria and her husband Angel Ramos, Catherine Kotak and her companion William and a stepson Richard Salom. Her grandchildren Michael, Eddie, Chris, Jonathan, Kristen, Lauren, Jessica, Thomas, Jenna, James, Matthew, and William also survive her. Her brother John Manca and his wife Linda, along with nieces and nephews John and Darlene Manca also survive her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018, during the hours of 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Sister Ann Daly officiating. Cremation will follow at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, NY.
