Leonard Bogert

Leonard E. Bogert, Sr. Chester, New York Leonard E. Bogert, Sr., a resident of the area for over 40 years died March 11, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 80 years of age. Leonard was born to the late Everdell and Earl Bogert in Rivervale, New Jersey in the year 1933. He was a member of the United States Army and a veteran of the Korean War. Lenny was also a retired welder who began and ran his own company out of Chester, New York, Len's Welding, Inc. for over 40 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ann Bogert who died in September of 2012. Survivors include his three children; son Leonard Bogert Jr. and wife Nancy, son Kevin Bogert and wife Judy and daughter LeeAnn Brophy and husband Michael. Leonard is also survived by his brother and three sisters, his 7 grand children as well as his 2 great grand children. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association in Lenny's name would be appreciated by his family. Visitation will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 during the hours of 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Saturday, March 15, 2014 during the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950.
