Larry Schall of Chester, New York was a retired New York City Police Officer, and a longtime resident of the area, died peacefully at his residence on August 25, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was 72 years of age. The son of the late Fred and Virginia Schall, he was born in New York City, in the year of 1945. Larry was a member of numerous organizations, including St. Columba R.C. Church, Chester Kiwanis Club, the Orange County Shields, Fraternal Order of Police, Jason Conklin Memorial Lodge, 957, Monroe, NY. He is survived by his loving wife Gail Schall, at home and their children: Allison and her husband Brian Fullerton of Somers, New York, Lauren and her husband, David Miller of Cornwall, New York, and Christopher and his wife Noelle Schall of Clifton Park, New York. Lawrence is also survived by his loving grandchildren; John, Dean, Catherine, Erin, and Ciara also survive him. He is further survived by his siblings Winnie Schall Baffa of Leland, North Carolina, Fred Schall of Clinton Corners, New York, and William Schall of New Fairfield, Connecticut, along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, during the hours of 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM; at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at 10:00 AM, at St. Columba R.C. Church, located at 29 High Street, Chester, NY 10918. Cremation will follow at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Larry's name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, at https://giving.mskcc.org or to Giving MSKCC, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065 or the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference at www.nynjtc.org.
