John T. Lindgren, a current resident of Pine Bush, New York and former resident of Sparkhill, New York; Bloomingburg, New York and Monticello, New York died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Orange Regional Medical Center following a short battle with liver cancer. He was 66 years of age. The son of the late Jack and Pauline Lindgren, John was born on December 11, 1948. John was a retired Dispatcher for the Times Herald Record, who had worked there for a period of 20 years. John had also previously been employed in the Delivery Department of Kornish Distribution. John loved to spend his time watching college football and Duke College basketball. John's family is saddened by this sudden loss, but we know that he is now in a peaceful place with his parents and sisters. We are all blessed to have one more angel to look down upon us. John was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Pauline Lindgren and by his sisters, Paula Dickow of Sparkhill, New York and Beverly Mazzola of Massachusetts. Survivors include his niece, Lara Scott and her Husband, Greg as well as their two sons, Brody and Jonathan of Pembroke, Massachusetts as well as his many close friends. Cremation will occur at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, New York. A Memorial Service will follow on Friday, September 25, 2015 between the hours of 2 to 4 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc. located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950.
