John S. Montee

John S. Montee of Monroe, New York a retired Controller for the Bank of New York (Mellon) in New York City and a 5 year area resident and former Greenpoint Brooklyn native, died on May 31, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical in Wallkill, New York. He was 63 years of age. The son of the late James and Mae Silkule Montee he was born in Greenpoint Hospital on July 30, 1949. He worked in the banking industries since 1969 until his retirement in 2007. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, uncle and friend. He will truly be missed by his family and many of his coworkers that had the gift of knowing him as a person. He is survived by his wife Maureen at home, and their children Maureen Uva and her husband Anthony of Elmsford, NY, Jennifer Pasquariello and her husband Lorenzo of Monroe, New York and John Montee and his wife Renee of White Plains, New York. His grandchildren Angela, Michael, Jacqueline, Lori, Ashley, Dillon, Jennifer, Erin, Austin and Danielle also survive him. John is also survived by his brother George Montee of Mantua, NJ and was predeceased by his brother James Montee. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 during the hours of 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia Parish Church, 21 North Main Street, Harriman, New York 10926. Interment will at St. Mary's Cemetery, 2 Fr.
