Joann Bufalini

JoAnn Bufalini a 26 year resident of the area and a retired Bank Teller with TD Bank, died peacefully at Wingate of Beacon on December 8, 2013. She was 69 years of age. The daughter of the late Toufie and Shirley Shaw, JoAnn was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1944. JoAnn was a longtime member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Monroe, New York. She was the widow of Gerard "Uncle Gerry" Bufalini. JoAnn was loved by many, especially her family. Her shining light was her granddaughter Gia. JoAnn had a feisty spirit and loving quiet heart, she was known as Sitto (Grandma in Lebanese) by many. She will be greatly missed, but will forever remain in our hearts and memory. "We love you Sitto". JoAnn is survived by her devoted son, Gerard and his wife Christina Benz-Bufalini and her cherished granddaughter Gia Rose. She is also survived by her brother in-law Donald and his wife Barbara, Sister in Law's Patrice Notarro and her husband Tony, Janet DeBenedetto and her husband Joseph, Lois Bufalini along with several nieces and nephews. JoAnn was predeceased by her best friend and cousin Antoinette Olsen. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday December 11, 2013 during the hours of 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe, New York 10950. Burial will follow at Cemetery of the Highland, 634-640 Route 32, Highland Mills, NY 10930 Memorial contributions in JoAnn's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O.
