Janet T. Decker

Janet T. Decker of Vestal, New York died on February 12, 2014 at Strongs Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York surrounded by her immediate family. Janet was 53 years of age. The daughter of the late Robert Beach and Clara Lemon, she was born in Goshen, New York on March 11, 1960. She grew up in Orange County and graduated from Washingtonville High School. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that will be missed dearly by all. She loved baking home made cookies for her grandkids and crocheting blankets for all the newborns. Despite all the pain she was in, she always had a sense of humor and could make everyone laugh. She hid her pain to make everyone feel comfortable. The size of her heart was immeasureable. Janet is survived by her husband Harvey E. Decker Jr. of Vestal, New York; her sons Jason R. Decker and Harvey E. Decker III as well as her grandsons Rowan, Aidan and Alano Decker all of Middletown, New York. She is also survived by her 4 brothers, 3 sisters and 14 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 during the hour of 1 to 2 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 3 Hudson Street, Chester, New York 10918.
