James P. Sheehan

James P. Sheehan, of Chester, NY passed away on April 25, 2020 in Suffern, NY. He was 59 years of age. he was the Son of the late James R. and Ann (Nancy) Sheehan. He was born on October 14th, 1960, in Stuttgart, Germany on the USAG Stuttgart Army Base. Jim is survived by his three children, Meaghan, of Chester, NY, Ryan and his wife, Heather of Sacramento, CA, and Matthew of Fayetteville , NC. He is further survived by his two sister, Colleen Murphy of Port Jefferson, NY and Sue Sheehan Campbell, of Buffalo, NY, as well as his nephew Paul Murphy, of NYC and his niece, Maureen Schneider and her husband Jack, and daughter, Kourtney, of Miller Place, NY. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, in addition to his several close friends, including Frank and Carol Cashmore, of Smithtown, NY and Danny and Theresa D'Orazio, of Ronkonkoma, NY. Jim was very proud of all his kids. He would travel all over the State to see Meaghan compete in cross country and track races while in college. Both his sons joined the military; Ryan is working as a firefighter with the United States Air Force, and Matthew is currently assigned to the Military Police for the United States Army. He was very involved with all his kid's sports, and extracurricular activities by coaching their baseball teams through the Warwick Little League, as well as through Frozen Ropes. Jim was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, and always had a smile on his face. He treated all the neighborhood kids as his own, and was truly a kid at heart. Due to the ongoing health crisis, burial services will be private. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
