Jim “Seamus” McPhail passed away peacefully on May 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
After coming to the United States from Ireland, Jim served in the U.S. Army and later had a successful career as an executive at ABC before retiring and pursuing his passions of music and sports.

When not singing, he was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching golf, the Premier Soccer League, and rooting for his New York Yankees and New York Jets.
His memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who have had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around him with his voice, generosity, and unforgettable spirit.
He is survived by: his wife Ann; his daughter Siobhan and son-in-law Ken Yoshida and their children Gabriel and Genevieve; his son Stephen and daughter-in-law Alison McPhail and their children Connor and Ryan; grandchildren Aidan and Caroline McPhail; his sisters Mary Urru and Margaret and her husband Peter Carhart; and many nieces and nephews.
