James Joseph Fallon

James Joseph Fallon, 84, died on August 27, 2023, at Mt Sinai Hospital in NYC. Jim was a lifelong New York resident living in Staten Island, Highland Mills, but with the majority spent in New York City.He had several careers during his life of which he was pretty proud.
He served his country as an Airman 2nd class in the US Air Force. After discharge, he worked as a New York Daily News truck driver before beginning a 25-year career as a Senior Court Officer at the 111 Centre Street Courthouse, New York, New York.
As a Court Officer, he studied at night to earn a nursing degree. After retiring from the courts, he spent 15 years as a nurse at several NYC hospitals. The most important people in Jim's life were his family. He is survived by his devoted wife Judy, loving son Chris, caring daughter-in-law Kristen, adoring grandchildren Jake, Abby, and Marin, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Among his nephews were his special godsons, Evan and Adrian. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950.
Military Honors by the United States Army Honor Guard will occur at 1:30 p.m., and a Prayer Service at the Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. David Ritter.
Interment of cremains will take place at a later date at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924.
Brendan and Thomas Flynn, Cremationists at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., provided cremation services in Chester, NY.
The Flynn Family and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff provided the funeral care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jims name to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, ASPCA, or The Make a Wish Foundation
