Henry A Wicke, Sr. Monroe, New York Henry A. Wicke, Sr. of Monroe, New York passed away peacefully in his home on May 21, 2014. He was 81 years of age. The son of Homer Wicke and Ida King of Monticello, New York, Henry was born on November 14, 1932 in Lumberland, New York. An Army private, Henry served in the 3rd Battalion 14th Armored Cavalry while stationed in Germany. He was the founder and owner of Hunter Elevator Company in Monroe, New York and later owned, developed and operated Wick's Golf Driving Range in Goshen, New York. Henry was a member of the of the Rod and Gun club in Monroe and the White Oak Hunting Club in Monticello. He was a sports enthusiast. He loved golf, was an avid collector and had a great sense of humor. His 5 children and their families survive him. His son Henry, Jr. & Debbie; grandson Justin & wife Suzanne; great grandchildren Jordan & Jaxon. Son Homer & Victoria, grand children Ashley Ann, Ashley Marie and Michael. Daughter Barbara & Paul Garber, grandchildren Samantha & David. Daughter Denise & John Nagle, grand children Ryan & Emily, great grand daughter Layla. And his son Craig Wicke and grand daughter, Dominique. The family would like to extend their warmest thanks to those that watched over and cared for Henry. His final days were surrounded by those who he loved and those that loved him. Visitation will be held during the hours of 10 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc. located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. Interment and grave side services will follow at St. John's Cemetery located on John Street in Monticello, New York.
