Gertrude Bonnici November 8, 1928 - May 14, 2018 Gertrude Bonnici of Kingston, NY for the last 25 years, died May 14, 2018, at her home, she was 89 years of age. The daughter of the late John and Eva Rilling she was born on November 8, 1928, in Radautz, Romania. Mom was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all. She was a woman of faith. She was the widow of John C. Bonnici, to whom she was married to for 54 years. Gertrude is survived by her daughter Erica Maus and her husband Ned of Kingston, NY; her son, Fr. John Bonnici, Pastor of St. Columba R.C. Church in Chester, NY. Her three grandchildren Melissa Bonelli and her husband Jason, and Patricia Phelan and her partner Gary, Belinda Imel and her partner Philip, her great-grandchildren Gabviela Bonelli, Andrea Phelan and Brent McKee and her cherished dog Ginger also survive her. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 11:00 AM at St. Columba R.C. Church located at 27 High Street, Chester, NY 10918, with the Rev. John Bonnici officiating. Cremation will follow at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc. Memorial contributions in Gertrude's name to either Hudson Valley Hospice, 400 Aaron Court, Kingston, NY 12401 or St. Columba R.C.
