Ethel Moloney

Ethel Moloney Blooming Grove, New York Ethel Moloney a retired Health Aide for the Archdiocese of New York for 20 years and an 8 year resident of the area, died January 25, 2013 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Tarrytown, New York. She was 88 years of age. The daughter of James and Mary Ellen Boland she was born on November 19, 1924 in Strokestown, County Roscommon, Ireland. Ethel was a long time member of St. Philip DeNeri R.C. Church and an active member of the Community Center of St. Philip DeNeri; she was also active with the Meals on Wheels program. Ethel will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren and surviving siblings. She was pre-deceased by her husband Paul Moloney, Sr., and their son Patrick Moloney of Tappan, New York and her brother James Joseph Moloney of Ireland. Ethel is survived by her son Paul and his wife Kate of Blooming Grove, New York, her daughter Mary Moloney of Manhattan and daughter in law Cynthia Moloney of Tappan, NY, along with her seven grandchildren Emma, Saoirse, Tara, Paul, Jr., Timothy, James and Kaitlin. Her sisters Bridie Tunks of England, Nuala Carroll Taghman, of Wexford, Ireland, Helen Doohey and her husband Larry of Yonkers, NY and Kathleen Griffin of Lake Carmel, NY. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 during the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Moritz Funeral Home 98 Route 304, Tappan, New York 10983. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, 120 Kings Hwy Tappan, NY 10983 on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's R.C.
