Elaine Mcgurk

Elaine McGurk also known as Mary Elaine McGurk of Yorktown Heights New York died peacefully at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, New York on August 20, 2013. She was 76 years of age. The daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Boylan she was born on September 6, 1936. Elaine was the widow of Francis E. McGurk. Elaine was employed by Blue Cross/Blue Shield as an IBM-CRT key punch operator for 10 years both in New York City and Middletown, NY She was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post # 95 located in the Bronx. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, cards and bingo. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees & Giants. She also truly admired Elvis and enjoyed listening to the radio and especially calling in and winning prizes for answering trivia questions Elaine is survived by her three children daughter Lynn and her husband Mike Rendine of Yorktown Heights, New York, daughter Mari-Francis Gray of Ellenville New York, and her son Edward W. McGurk and partner Amy Laiosa of Rosendale New York, her three adoring grandchildren Vincent Rendine, Britney McGurk, Samantha Curbello also survive her. Elaine is also survived by her siblings & their spouses Dorothy and Edward Claxton of Homestead Florida, Gertrude and Henry Kuykendall, previously of Ellenville New York now of LaBella, Florida, Frances of Napanock, NY, Ethel Boylan of Monroe, NY. She is survived by many, many nieces and nephews great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Edna Whitemore of Ellenville New York, Joseph Blackwell of Napanock, NY & Joseph Boylan of Monroe, NY, along with 6 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2013 during the hours of 2 to 7 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950.
