Douglas G. Dewitt

Douglas George DeWitt of Chester, NY a retired New York City Police Officer died on April 7, 2018, at his residence. He was 75 years of age. The son of the late Ira & Lillian DeWitt he was born in New York City on July 12, 1942. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served on the USS Scorpion (SSN-589) in 1962 and was a TMC (SS) when he left the Navy. Douglas is survived by his daughters Theresa F Liguori and her husband Paul, Jacqueline DeWitt Jimenez and her husband Richard. His six grandchildren Donovan J. Rock, Matthew Liguori, Dylan Liguori, Greer Liguori, Evan Liguori, Jade Liguori and Audrey Rock, along with one great-grandchild Elliot Joseph Rock. A private viewing was held on April 9, 2018, at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc. Burial will Military Honors will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 12:00 Noon at Orange County Veterans Cemetery located at 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924.
