Doris M. Stanton of Monroe, N.Y., a homemaker and a 44-year resident of the area, died peacefully on June 8, 2022, at Garnett Medical Center in Wallkill, N.Y.
She was 75 years of age.
The daughter of Charles and Margaret Clark, Dorie was born on May 20, 1947, in New York.
She was a very active member of Sacred Heart Parish and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 488, Monroe, N.Y.
She was the widow of John J. Stanton.
Survivors include her children, William Lawson and his wife Josephine, Christine Williams and her husband Rich, Ellen O'Leary and her husband Sean, Barbara Gioffre and her companion Kevin Pulsifer, and Lisa Stanton.
Her nine grandchildren are Lashanta, Samantha, Kimmy, Jessie, Cierra, Johnny, Kiera, Nicholas, and Stephaine.
Marcus, Mia, and Charlotte, her three great children, survive Dorie and her great-grandson Isaiah.
Her sister Barbara Ryan, brother Charlie, and his wife Barbara Clark also survived her, along with nieces and nephews Peter Falli, Shannon Lasser, Carolann Clark, and Caryn Clark.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 11:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart R.C. Church located at 26 Still Road, Monroe, NY 10950.
Cremation care will follow at Oxford Hills Crematory under the supervision of Thomas & Brendan Flynn.
Burial of cremains will follow later at St. Anastasia R.C. Church Cemetery.
Funeral care is under the direction of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers.
