Donna Brucato

Donna Brucato, a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 65 years old.

Born on January 12, 1959, in the Bronx, New York, Donna was the cherished daughter of Theodore Brucato, Jr. and Marie Brucato.

She spent her early years in the Bronx before her family relocated to Chester, where she continued her education at Chester High School, graduating in 1977.

Following her passion for serving others, Donna enlisted in the United States Air Force and worked in various secretarial roles in the Hudson Valley area. She was known for her dedication and commitment to everything she pursued.

Donna had a natural artistic talent and could create beautiful works of art through her drawings and paintings. She possessed a creative spirit that knew no bounds. She also had a flair for fixing things and quickly became a self-taught "Handy Woman," always ready to lend a helping hand.

In her leisure time, Donna enjoyed swimming, baking, traveling, and shopping. She embraced the holiday season with immense joy, showering her loved ones with thoughtful gifts and creating lasting memories.

Donna will be deeply missed by her mother, Marie Brucato; her loving sisters, Marianne Luizzi and Nancy Brucato; her devoted brother, Theodore "Ted" Brucato; and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Theodore Brucato, Jr., and her nephew, Christopher Brucato.

Honoring Donna's wishes, a private family service will be held to celebrate her life.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Fauzia Paracha and the compassionate nurses of the ICU West at Garnett Health Medical Center. Their care, compassion, and kindness provided immense comfort to Donna during her challenging times.

Donna's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will remain an inspiration to us all. As we bid farewell, we hold onto the cherished moments we shared with her and find solace in reuniting with her on the other side.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Brendan & Thomas Flynn and the dedicated staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center.
