Claire M. McNeil, 102, a longtime Central Valley, New York resident, passed peacefully on January 1, 2024, in Raleigh, N.C.

Claire was born to the late Raphael and Isma Del Valle Lowe on July 15, 1921.

She was a dedicated homemaker and an active member of Central Valley United Methodist Church in Central Valley, New York.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Hugh E. McNeil Jr. (Sheila) of Dayton, N.J.; three daughters, Andrea Fernandez (Luis) of Orlando Fla., Pamela Jackson of Raleigh, N.C., and Tanya Hamilton (Henry) of Monroe, N.Y.; grandchildren, Terrence McNeil, Sebastian Fernandez, Christina Fernandez, Amina Ryan, Ayanna Jones, Alicia Jackson, and Janelle Pagan; great-grandchildren, Gavin McNeil, Jason Fernandez, Marcus Fernandez, Alex Fernandez, Devin Ryan, Taryn Ryan, Caleb Jones, Hannah Jones, Ethan Jones, Titus Pagan, and Mari Pagan.

She also leaves her beloved sister, Audrey Heywood of Tamarac, Fla., and nieces and nephews: Shirley McNeil, Faye Charles, Olive McNeil, Lloyd McNeil, Marcelle Julian, Nathalie Heywood-Smith, and Renaldo Heywood.

In addition to her parents, Claire is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh E. McNeil Sr., and her grandson, Michael McNeil.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, FROM 4:00 TO 7:00 pm at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Central Valley United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at Cemetery of the Highlands, 634-640 Route 32 Highland Mills, N.Y. 10930.

Funeral care has been entrusted to Brendan & Thomas Flynn and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff.
