Celia Cordero, a longtime resident of Monroe, New York, peacefully passed away at home on March 29, 2025, at the age of 94.
Celia is the widow of Evan Lucas Cordero.
She is survived by her daughter Trinidad Matera and her husband John Matera of Pottstown, PA; her son Edgar Cordero and his wife Annabel of Bronx, NY; and her daughter Ivette Ruiz and her husband Miguel Ruiz of Monroe, NY. She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Natalie, Randy, Lyn, Johnny, Michael, and Christopher, and five great-grandchildren: Max, Mason, Arabella, Lucas, and Aaliyah. Additionally, she is survived by her nieces and nephews, Inez, Mary, Kristina, Kevin, Zaida, Margie, Melinda, Victor, Joel, and Eric, as well as her sister, Eneida Ortiz.
Visitation will occur on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe, NY 10950.
Burial will follow at 12:45 pm at Saint Raymond's Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465.
The family entrusted Celia's care to the Flynn family and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center's staff.
