Beverly Lynn Wanamaker, 60, beloved wife of Arthur William (Bill) Wanamaker of Stony Point, NY peacefully passed away at home with her family by her side on Monday, October 5, 2020. Beverly was born in Suffern, New York to Mary Gesner and the late Theodore Gesner on January 12, 1960. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, William and Jennifer of Rock Tavern, NY and Nicholas and Kaitlyn of Stony Point, NY and two grandchildren, Charlotte and Lucas whom she adored. She is also survived by her two brothers and their wives William and Rena, Brian and Andrea, and one sister, Barbara Jean and her late husband Richard and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She is predeceased by her older sister Mary (Betty) Gesner. Growing up Beverly was an active member of the Rainbow Girls in the Ramapo Lodge, Suffern, New York. She started going to Blue Rill Day Camp as a camper and continued as staff for a relationship that lasted over fifty years. Beverly graduated from Ramapo High School in 1978. On January 11, 1983, she married her high school sweetheart and had a loving partner for 37 years. Prior to focusing on raising her family she worked as a bank teller for Nanuet National Bank. She then spent many years at home lovingly raising her two sons. Later she started a new career as a teacher's aide in the North Rockland School District. Beverly's love of working with children continued throughout her life and she always strived to help them do their best. Beverly truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; swimming in her pool, going to the beach, shopping, baking, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Beverly will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Funeral Arrangements and Cremation Care have been entrusted to Brendan T. Flynn and Thomas F. Flynn, Directors and Certified Cremation Specialists of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Beverly Wanamaker to the American Cancer Society at https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate/memorial-giving.html. A private family service was held on October 10th.
