Bernard McGee, a 10 year resident of Monroe, New York died at home on December 2, 2014. He was 78 years of age. Bernie was born in Bronx, New York in the year 1936. He worked as a Lieutenant in the New York City Fire Department for 18 years. He was a member of the Putnum Lake Little League, The Cub Scouts and the John F. Kennedy High School Quarterback Club. Bernard was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Flanagan McGee. Survivors include his children, Bernard McGee of Lake Placid, New York; John McGee of Fairfax, Virginia; Stephen McGee of Lake Mary, Florida; Kevin McGee of Monroe, New York and Mary Coakley of Grafton, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren, Michael, Patrick, Eric, Kelsey, Collin, Christopher, Lauren, Brian, Peter, Hope, Emily, Jack, Matt, Kasey, Madison, Connor, Erin and Maura. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 during the hours of 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc. located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church, located at 26 Still Road, Monroe, New York 10950. Interment will follow at Maple Street Cemetery, located at Route 311, Paterson, New York 12563 with Military Honors.
