Bernadette Rose Mallon

Bernadette Rose Mallon, a 21 year resident of Tuxedo, New York and former long time resident of Ozone Park, New York died on June 21, 2015 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 48 years of age. Bernadette was born to Mary and Terence Tully in the Ozone Park neighborhood of Queens, New York in the year 1966. For the past 30 years Bernadette was a hair dresser, who has worked for the prestigious Waldorf Astoria in New York, New York as well as her more recent employment with Elant of Goshen, New York and of Tuxedo, New York. Bernadette was a member of The Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Tuxedo, New York and Tuxedo Ambulance Corps. Family statement: "I'll Miss hearing the sound of the tin whistle when I come home at night. Bernadette was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2009, and faced the disease with grace, dignity and a positive attitude which was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. With her husband Christopher at her side, she faced long and arduous treatments for over six years. They were willing to do anything to beat the cancer. Bernadette had a singular goal: to be there for her five children. Bernadette fought until the very end, finding peace surrounded by her husband, children, parents, siblings and extended family". Bernadette is survived by her devoted husband, Christopher Mallon and by their loving children, Sons Robert; Liam; Sean and Aedan and their daughter, Caoilainn Rose. She is also survived by her parents, Mary and Terence Tully as well as by her brother, Terence Tully and her sisters, Maura Lebron; Mairead Tully and Alysse Crescenzo and her many relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 during the hours of 6 to 8 PM as well as on Thursday, June 25, 2015 during the hours of 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jerry Tully on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11 AM at the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, located at 5 Tobin Way, Tuxedo Park, New York 10987. Cremation will take place at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, New York Funeral arrangements and the cremation service have been entrusted to Thomas F.
