Arthur A. Andersen

Arthur A. Andersen of Monroe, New York a former Foreman for Otis Elevator Company in New York and former Owner/Operator of Triple "A" Landscaping, Inc. and a 39 year resident of the area, died peacefully at his cousin's residence in Brooklyn, New York on November 17, 2012. He was 69 years of age. The son of the late Carl and Jennie Andersen he was born in New York on January 30, 1943. Arty was a member of Trout Brook Engine and Hose Company of the Chester Fire Department and a member of Local # 1 Elevator Constructors Union of New York. Arty truly loved spending time with his family and friends, celebrating the milestones of his children and grand children's life. He enjoyed the time with all of his children and friends in Orwell, New York where they would fish, hunt or ride their snowmobiles. As a younger man he enjoyed Archery and was an eleven time New York State Field Archer Champion and was ranked 13th in the World. He is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla at home, and their children: Carl Edward and his wife Tova of Woodland Park, CO, Michael Andrew of Denver, CO, Kristine Mary of Monroe, NY, Eric Steven and his wife Megan of Harriman, NY and Arthur Andrew and his wife Nicole of Wallkill, NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren Caitlynn Marie, Lance Corporal Carl Edward, Jr., Liam Joseph, Nathan Michael, Cody Steven, Logan James, Bryce Henry, and his step grandchildren Hannah, Abbey and Levi, his one great grandchild Jacob William and many extended family members. His very special cousins Joan Charest and family and Dorothy Fischer and family, and his 18 nieces and nephews also survive him. Arty was pre-deceased by his parents and by his brother Carl and sister Jeanette. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 during the hours of 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM and a second visitation will occur after the funeral mass on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 12 noon to 2:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, November 23rd at 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Shrine Church, 21 North Main Street, Harriman, NY 10926. The Rev. Michael F. Keane will officiate. Memorial contribution in Arty's name to the American Diabetes Association 1701 North Beauregard Street Alexandria, VA 22311 1-800-DIABETES (800-342-2383), would be appreciated by the family.
