Anita Hartmann of Middletown, NY, passed away on July 29, 2024.
She was a member of The National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Anita is survived by her Children Adam Hartmann of Middletown, NY, Donna (Frank) Gennaro of Monroe, NY, and Dawn (John) Murran, of Woodbourne. Anita is also survived by her grandchildren Nick (Katie) Gennaro, Marcello, Alexis (Aaron), Danielle, and Max, and her three great grandchildren Elanora, Mabel Anita, and Nando. She is survived by her siblings Peter & Rocco Cirigliano.
Anita was predeceased by her husband Robert Hartmann, her grandson John Michael, and her siblings Maria Wieser, Virginia Haring, Caesar Cirigliano, & Nicholas Cirigliano.
Anita’s greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved
dearly. Her nurturing presence and wise counsel were the cornerstones of her family’s foundation. Anita
was a strong and independent woman, embodying the true definition of strength. In addition to her
remarkable strength and wisdom, Anita had a deep love and talent for gardening. Her gardens were a
testament to her eye for beauty and her ability to nurture life. Through her gardening, she expressed her
creativity and her profound appreciation for the beauty of nature. Throughout her life, she faced numerous
obstacles with grace and perseverance, emerging stronger and more resilient each time. Her courage
and tenacity were an inspiration to all who knew her, and her indomitable spirit will forever be
remembered. Anita’s memory will be cherished by her children, grandchildren, and all who had the
privilege of knowing her. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the
indelible mark she left on our hearts. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine through the
lives she touched.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 3 PM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, located at 90 Euclid Ave, Middletown, NY 10940.
Cremation care was provided by Brendan & Thomas Flynn at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, N.Y.
Brendan and Thomas Flynn and the staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers have been entrusted with Anita's care.
