Ronald C. Valentine a retired Safety Inspector for AON Corp, Chicago, Ill and an area resident since 1970, died April 5, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Wallkill, NY. He was 79 years of age. The son of the late Irene & Frank Valentine he was born on February 13, 1938 in New York City. Ron was a longtime member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Joseph Duelk, Jr. Division 1 in Monroe, N,Y, and the America Legion Post 488 in Monroe, NY. Ron was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served on the USS William R. Rush a Gearing class destroyer. Ron married his wife Theresa in Brooklyn, New York on August 8, 1964. He is survived by his wife Theresa at home, his sister Norene Block and husband John. His special niece Kathy Hill along with many other nieces and nephews, and many friends in the AOH and American Legion also survive him. Ronald was predeceased by his beloved son, Ronald C. Valentine, Jr., who died on May 9, 2013 and his sister Elaine Cockrell who died on January 1, 2010. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 during the hours of 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. The Ancient Order of Hibernians will conduct services at the Funeral Home at 6:30 PM on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 10:30 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Anastasia R.C. Church Cemetery located at 21 North Main Street, Harriman, NY 10926. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas F.
