Joseph E. Lorenz Chester, NY Joseph E. Lorenz, of Chester, NY a retired Customer Service Representative and a 33 year resident of the area of the area, died August 13, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center, in Wallkill, NY. He was 68 years of age. The son of Ruth Lorenz and the late Edward Lorenz he was born on April 16, 1948, in College Point, NY. Joseph was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Middletown, NY for 33 years. He was pre-deceased by his wife Margaret (Peggy) Lorenz. Survivors include his Mother Ruth Lorenz, 100 years young of Chester, NY, his daughter Cynthia Woerdeman and her husband Steve; two adoring grandchildren, Samantha and Nathan Woerdeman of Cookeville, TN. His sister Susan Lorenz of Yaphank, NY also survives Joseph along with his nieces and nephews Sara, Debbie, Nelson, Gerard, Christina, Christopher, Brian, Steven , Melinda, Rachel and Alexis, and relatives and friends to numerous to mention. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 during the hours of 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM in St. John's Lutheran Church, located at 391 Mount Hope Road, Middletown, NY 10940. Pastor Peter A. Rustico will be officiating. Cremation will follow at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, NY In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund at 391 Mt. Hope Road, Middletown, NY 10940 would be appreciated by the family. Funeral and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas F.
