Eileen Slawinski a woman of tremendous spirit and limitless generosity, passed away peacefully from this world with her family by her side after a brief illness on January 7, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Wallkill, New York.
Eileen was born on August 14, 1950 in Bronx, New York to Marion and Anthony Slawinski and was raised in the Bronx, and later moved to Tappan, NY. She was a resident of Chester, NY since 1984, and had enjoyed a successful career over 30 years with the IBM Corporation.
In recent years, she had channeled her passion for music and dance into becoming a part time dance instructor at the Orange County School of Dance, in Monroe, NY. Some of her happiest moments were spent teaching "Her Little Girls". Eileen's greatest pride was her family, and she couldn't do enough for those she loved.
Eileen is predeceased by her father, Anthony Slawinski, and sister Maureen Seidenberg. She is survived by her mother Marion Slawinski of Chester, NY, her sister Toni and brother in law Edward Bracconeri of Pomona, NY and the loves of her life, her nephews Gregg Piller and his wife Jennifer of Goshen, NY, Doug Piller of San Diego, CA and Ryan Bracconeri of Pomona, NY, along with her brother in law Harold Seidenberg of Goshen, NY and her beloved kitten "Mellow".
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 during the hours of 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 3 Hudson Street, Chester, New York 10918.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Columba R.C. Church, 29 High Street, Chester, NY 10918.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park 101 Mill Street, Putnam Valley, NY 10579.
