Biography

 

Ronald M. Gentile of Harriman, NY, a retired Union printer, died July 19, 2010 at Orange Regional Medical Center Arden Hill Campus.  He was 77 years of age.

 

The son of Peter and Julia Gentile, he was born March 9, 1933 in Jersey City, NJ. 

He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Marine Corp and received an Honorable Discharge for his service.  Later in life he joined the American Legion and was a member and Past Commander of the Mulligan Eden American Legion Post # 1573 in Harriman, New York.

Ronald was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

 

Survivors include his devoted wife Anna Mae Gentile of Harriman, NY, and their children, Mark Gentile of New Windsor, NY, Keith Gentile of Manasquan, NJ, Eric Gentile and his wife Jennifer of Effort, PA and Laura Burpoe and her husband Charles of Marlboro, NY. 

 

Ronald's cherished grandchildren, Tara, Kevin, Christina, Michelle, Kristen, Kayla, Dylan, Andrew, Julia, Grace, Anna and his great grandchildren, Gina, Corilye, and Paige also survive him.

 

A private family gathering was held on July 20th at the Funeral Home.

 

Cremation followed at Oxford Hills Crematory, Chester, NY.

 

Memorial contributions in Ronald's name to the American Heart Association, 407 East Main St., Middletown, NY 10940-3420 would be appreciated by the family.
