Biography

 

Alfredo J. Arno of Middletown, New York formerly of Brooklyn, NY, a truck driver for 32 years and a 12 year resident of the area, died February 27, 2010 at Southwinds Home. He was 90 years old.

 

The son of the late Joseph Arno and Antonetta Montana Arno, he was born on May 28, 1919i n Brooklyn, NY.

 

Family Statement:  "Freddie lived his life his way and was a man amongst men.  He will be missed but not forgotten."

 

He is the widow of Mary Rapillo Arno.

 

Freddie is survived by his daughter Linda and her husband Salvatore Zappala of Chester, NY.  Also surviving him are his grandchildren; Steven Henry Wieczorek, Gina Marie Zappala, Vincent Salvatore Zappala and his nephews Michael Arno, Dr. Louis Arno, Anthony Arno, and his niece Laura Pillarella.

 

He was predeceased by his wife Mary and  daughter Antonetta Reichert of Bayonne, NJ

 

There will be no public visitation.

 

A  Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March  8, 2010 at 10:00 AM in St. Stephen's R.C. Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY 10990.

 

Burial will followed with Military Honors at Orange Veteran's Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924.
