Grandfather, You are more than just a grandfather. You have become second father, a mentor, a teacher, a mediator, a jokester, a chess master, a domino hustler, a gardener, a handy man, and a variety of other titles through out your celebrated life. The time I spent with you was time well spent, but through the eyes of cosmic time we have only spent 1/16 of a grain of time together. Grandfather, remember how I was infatuated with the Coo-Coo Clock that you had in the kitchen? One of my fondest memories of you was one morning where I was staring at the Coo-Coo Clock waiting for it to sound off when you came in at the right moment mimicking the clock. You and the clock made the passing of every our very easy. I love you so much. I could go on rambling about countless comical encounters we had, but why don’t we do that when we reunite in the future. You taught me to bluff a strong exterior even when I am emotionally distraught on the interior and I have found myself applying this advice more often then I would like throughout my life. Grandfather the world is a little colder and harsher without you in it, but the memories of warmth and light pave the way for the rest of us. Thank you. It was always reassuring that in your eyes, no matter what I do, I would never let you down. Your words soothed me when I was in my adolescence stages of blind anger and you also provided me with the words of reason that I needed. I am thankful for every moment I spent with you and I can not wait to spend eternity with you. This world is left without one less laugh and one less smile, but I will make sure that I laugh a littler harder and smile a little wider so that everyone can feel your presence and spirit. In the near future we will have the opportunity to spend eternity together along with another divine member of our family who has passed on. It is only a matter of time. I look forward to that and I am very appreciative of the fact that we will all get to laugh together for eternity. Your loving grandson, Jorge Ortega Jr

Dear friend, I've always been very grateful to you because the way you have loved David and Catica. You always had a nice word for them and good pre$ent$ on X-mas. I always enjoyed your jokes(gringo jokes anyway)and drinking with your company was very special for me. These days I remember a lot when we went together to Cape Cod (91 or 92) ...you were so happy and full of life.. Even on this last thanksgiving day you were looking good..I want to thanks Catica for allowing all of us to have that great reunion to say goodbye to you... love you, my friend

Grandfather is full of grace and light, so please be in peace with yourselves. Now, you all have two beautiful angels that are watching over you at all times. Love you all.

Bela, I have a song for you.... Moon River, off to see the world, it's such a lovely world to seee. We're after the same rainbow and waiting 'round the bend...... I know you'll be waiting 'round the bend for all of us. Next time I see you I'll make sure we sing that song again. But only after I cook you a good meal. The first time that I saw you, I knew that you were the man in my life. You've dedicated your life to me the same way I did it for you. I always felt so secure and confident next to you the way I had never felt before and I'm so very thankful for it. We shared many good moments and I know that you loved me the same profund way I've always loved you and will love you forever. I ask God to be with you for eternities when the time for me to go comes. I feel so lonely without you and all I want is to find peace until I see you again. I love you my dear husband.
